You can call Allegiance Medical on 03 8525 1480 to book an appointment time , alternatively you may make an online appointment – we also accept walk in patients,

The duration of a standard consultation is between ten to fifteen minutes depending upon the clinical need, however our appointment system is flexible to suit your needs. We do offer longer appointments to enable management of more complex medical problems. If you have any of the following reasons to see a doctor, please advise the receptionist and ask for a longer appointment or if you are making an online booking please book for a longer appointment.

  • More than one medical issue to discuss
  • Requiring a medical report or support letter
  • Requiring WorkCover or TAC documentation
  • Review of a complex medical problem
  • Mental health consultations and mental health care plans
  • Chronic disease management plans and asthma action plans
  • Childhood and traveller’s vaccinations

If more than one person for your family wishes to consult the doctor at the same time then please ensure a separate appointment is made for each family member.

Please notify us well in advance, preferably 24 hours notice to cancel if you are unable to attend a booked appointment – these appointments could be used for other patients needing to see the doctor.

We are a mixed billing practice. We offer bulk billing to all pensioners, DVA, Health Care Card Holders and Children under 16 years of age. The full fee is payable after each TAC or WorkCover claim consult if you have not provided us with your claim number.

Patients who require vaccinations which are not covered by The National Immunisation Program will be charged the cost of the vaccinations, however the consultations for administration of vaccinations are bulk billed.

If printed copies of test results are requested by patient then administration time and printing costs to the clinic will be charged privately.

Recalls and reminders

We provide a reminder system for our patients to deliver systematic preventative health care such as, health assessments, chronic disease care plans and vaccinations. Our practice also participates in a number of government recall and reminder systems, such as Victorian pap smear registry and breast and colon cancer screening programs. If you don’t want to be automatically enrolled in these programs please advise your doctor.

Test results

Checking the test results of your tests is a priority task for us. The test results are checked and actioned by doctors as they are downloaded into our system by pathology and radiology companies. If there is an abnormal result you will be advised to make an urgent or non-urgent appointment according to the priority of your results. If a result requires urgent action, the doctor or the nurse will make an immediate telephone contact with you to make an urgent appointment with the doctor.

Please note, it is a strict policy of Allegiance Medical that the results or their availability are not to be discussed over the phone by the doctors or other clinical staff. Should you wish to discuss your results please book an appointment with your doctor.

It is patients responsibility to source the results that other/previous GP’s and specialists have requested/referred before your appointment if you are expecting to discuss with doctors.

Communication with patients

We don’t email test results, reports, medical certificates, prescriptions to the patients due to security and medico-legal concerns.
